In the
March 2010 issue of Bicycling, editor
Ron Koch chooses the Giant TCR Advanced 2
over the Felt F3 and the Specialized Tarmac Expert SL
for a reader who wonders “What Bike Should I Buy?” The
consumer, named Scott, wants a new bike that goes fast
and doesn’t cost over $3500. Here’s part of what Koch
says in picking the TCR Advanced 2:
“The handling is balanced, with quick reflexes and
superb high-speed tracking. LIGHTER WHERE IT
COUNTS: The TCR is significantly lighter than
our two other picks. Most of the weight savings is found
in the wheels, tires and cassette choices. Because the
lightweight parts are rotating mass, Scott will feel the
difference not only while he’s climbing, but also every
time he applies power to the pedals.” |
